Senator Plans to Bring Journalists Into Australia Papua

Australian Greens Senator Richard Di Natale, plans to visit Papua, Indonesia, and asked a group of journalists and human rights activists to see the conditions there. The move comes in response to the statement of the Governor Luke Enembe who said the area is open to journalists and human rights activists.

      Senator Di Natale is a spokesman for the Australian Green Party issues in Papua , Indonesia . Papua currently consists of two provinces of Papua and West Papua .
In an interview with ABC , he said , a statement Governor Luke Enembe an encouraging step . However , says Di Natale , he still gave the record because the statement did not come from the central government in Jakarta . ” The problem is , this statement only from the Governor Enembe and bukand ari central government , ” he said .
Senator Di Natale added , ” I plan to visit Papua for a long time , and today I stated plan to visit there in the future , ” he said .
During the visit , scheduled Di Natale will also invite journalists and human rights activists .
” In the past there was a ban on foreign journalists to Papua . A change in the position of Governor of Papua are very encouraging . Not as did Tony Abbott who called the incident three Papuan activists who climbed to the Australian Consulate in Bali as the resistance , ” he said .
” I want to meet with activists in Papua and hear their views on the situation there , ” added Senator Di Natale .
