Review of the Human Rights Committee on the implementation of the first reports of civilian political convention Indonesia (Jubi / Indria)
Jayapura, 11/07 (Jubi) – On January 10 and March 11, 2013 the UN Human Rights Committee review the implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), the most important human rights that have been ratified by Indonesia and Indonesia has an obligation to ensure implementation for the rights of citizens in Indonesia.
ICCPR Committee highlighted the ongoing violence in Papua and deplored the use of excessive force by the Indonesian security forces. Because there is no effective and accountable mechanisms available to prevent military action against the civil and political rights.
